Four Ways for A Small Business to Think Big

Updated: October 22, 2018.

Have an online presence

This cannot be underestimated. Social media and company websites can be vital to company growth and reputation, and it’s the prime way to attract new customers. No matter how small your business may currently be, it is worth setting up your website with the future in mind – make a big impression online and your business will inevitably grow. The first thing most people will do once they hear about your company is to search for them online, so you need to ensure that they like what they find.

Be savvy with smartphones

Not only are more and more people going online, but more people access the internet on-the-go. Tablets and smartphones are over taking with numbers exceeding desktop internet browsing, so make sure your site is mobile friendly.

Use a Skype number

Nothing screams out ‘small time’ than a mobile number for the point of contact for the business. If you don’t have an office or landline number, then for a small fee you can set up a Skype number which allows you to talk to a client when you’re out-and-about. You can choose any country or area code, so make sure it’s relevant to your business and you can answer all calls via your smartphone, tablet or laptop.

Social Media

Social media is a way of connecting with your customers on a personal level, as well as providing a speedy, prompt response strategy. Every brand should at least set up Facebook, Twitter and LikedIn but depending on your industry you may find it useful to become active on Instagram, Pinterest or even Snapchat. Make sure you’re posting somewhere at least twice a day, and build up your following by interacting with people, providing tips and asking questions.
