UK BANKING REQUIREMENTS:
Continual changes to anti-money laundering laws are making it more difficult to open a business bank account.
When applying for
an account with a UK bank, please be prepared to produce the following for each director, signatory and shareholder with more than 20% of the stock in the company as part of the application process:

proof of identity e.g. passport or driver's license |
| - |
proof of address e.g. utility bill less than three months old |
In addition, information pertaining to your company will also be required
e.g. Certificate of Incorporation, Memorandum and Articles
The requirements for detailed information about you and your business dealings is imposed on the banks by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) and is regularly and continually monitored by the FSA.
